RPL and Assessment pathways are ways to identify gaps in skills and knowledge in industry / on the job. RPL is currently a hot topic with the new NCVER new article. RPL is an assessment that still needs to be conducted with the same rigour required including the national standards, principles of assessment and rules of evidence. There is new technology to review all assessment types including RPL and clustered assessment. Don't settle for complex, costly assessment. Have your say but remember the burden of proof is with the Employee. Mentor the employee through the assessment process.
